Hi everyone! I’m considering taking medical contracts in different states, but I haven’t done this before and would love to hear from people with real experience. How difficult is it to move between states, deal with licensing and paperwork, and adjust to a new facility every few months? Is the higher pay and flexibility worth all the moving? I’ve worked a few contracts in different states, and overall it’s been a good experience, but the first move was definitely the hardest. Licensing, credentialing, housing, and learning how each new facility works can be a lot at once. Having a recruiter or agency that actually helps with the process makes a big difference. I’ve been thinking about this too. The idea of working in different places sounds great, but constantly dealing with housing and getting settled again would probably be the biggest challenge for me. I’d be interested to hear how people manage the time between contracts and whether moving gets easier after the first couple of assignments.
