Austin Community Food Co-op

The Austin Community Food Co-op seeks to empower and uplift the Austin community by providing access to local food through a community member-owned grocery store, offering educational opportunities to learn about food literacy, and strengthening the health, wellness, and local economy of the Austin Community through cooperation.
The Austin community is Chicago’s largest geographic neighborhood but lacks many basic resources, including grocery stores. The Austin Community Food Co-op will provide a sustainable grocery option for the Austin neighborhood and surrounding communities.
