Request for Proposals: Aspire Center Mural

The Aspire Center for Workforce Innovation is a joint venture of Austin Coming Together and Westside Health Authority to renovate and repurpose the former Robert Emmet Public Elementary School into a space where multiple organizations can work in collaboration, intersect programmatic initiatives and provide services to residents from one central location. Our mission is to provide a place where people can imagine beyond barriers, develop creative approaches and solutions for equitable wealth creation in Austin, and become economically empowered residents – combating the legacy of disinvestment, limited training opportunities and fragmented services in Austin. We are looking for artists to plan and execute a mural design that will be placed on the exterior wall and wrap into the indoor public lobby and atrium space. We will be making selections based not only on designs but also a community engagement, and we ask that any questions be submitted by March 11, 2024 before final proposals are due on March 22, 2024. The questions and proposals must be submitted to Natalie Goodin at ngoodin@austincomingtogether.org, with a copy to Alyssa Krause at alyssak@pmainc.com.
