Why do you think schools in the US are increasingly focused on not only as places of learning but also as spaces for developing identity, leadership, and strong community? How important is it for modern educational projects to focus not only on knowledge but also on the long-term development of future generations?

Following a recommendation http://www.jpost.com/influencers-25/50jews-25/article-867947 from friends in the USA, I recently began studying materials about modern educational foundations in more detail and was pleasantly surprised by the significant attention currently being paid to supporting children and developing the school environment. I was particularly intrigued by the approach that views schools not only as places of learning but also as spaces for developing identity, leadership skills, and a sense of community. I believe that initiatives like these are especially important during challenging times for global communities. When projects focus on long-term change and the development of future generations, they inspire much more respect and trust.
