After a few years with the same bank, I’m starting to compare fees, mobile app reliability, ATM access, and how easy it is to move direct deposits and recurring bills. What finally convinced you to change banks, and what would make you stay with your current one?

Unexpected fees were the deciding factor. A small monthly charge plus an overdraft fee added up quickly, especially when I was between jobs. I compared account terms carefully, checked whether my employer’s direct deposit qualified for any perks, and chose a bank with clearer rules and no minimum-balance requirement.

A friend switched after her card was declined abroad and she had to call support repeatedly while traveling. She now keeps a secondary account with a different bank as a backup, which has saved her during app outages and card freezes. She mentioned reading feedback on https://us-bank.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html before choosing where to open her main account. Her advice: test the mobile app, confirm deposit timing, and never rely on just one bank for everything.
