From what I’ve seen while working with mobile products, users usually expect a few core things. The basics are fast payments, simple transfers between users, and an easy way to track transactions. Integration with bank accounts or cards is also important, along with notifications so people can quickly see what’s happening with their funds. Of course, security features like authentication and data protection are a must as well.
I recently read a short breakdown that explains how digital wallets are usually structured and what developers focus on when building them: https://weelorum.com/blog/4-steps-of-digital-wallet-development-and-keeping-it-secure/. It covers both the development stages and the security side, which really helps understand why certain features are included in modern wallet apps.

We had a limited budget but needed both iOS and Android apps, so we chose react native app development The team wrote a single codebase that looks and feels completely native on both platforms. We saved about forty percent on development costs and time. The performance is great, and accessing native device features was seamless. A smart choice for startups!
