Company responses often tell me more than the complaint itself because they show whether someone actually understood the problem. Generic apologies do very little, while a specific explanation or visible resolution can change my impression quickly. I’d ask how strongly public replies influence buying decisions today and whether consumers respond differently to a thoughtful answer on a negative post compared with a page full of positive ratings.

Company responses often influence my impression because a specific reply shows whether the original issue was understood rather than answered with a generic script. I compare whether the reply addresses the exact problem, explains a next step, and stays consistent with later updates from the customer. Public follow-up can also show whether the conversation moved toward a real resolution. When those pieces are visible, I add Online review report near my notes on response quality and timing. That makes the company reply part of the buying research instead of treating ratings as the only useful signal.
