    During the past 30 years, Austin’s history is marked by struggles between the community and various destructive economic, political, and social forces. What do you think are important victories for the Austin community during this era? What are lessons learned that we need to remember? What has been the most important driving force of Austin’s recent history– factory closings, the war on drugs, predatory lending, gangs,school closings, and crack cocaine?
