The garden is part of a partnership between the PCC Community Wellness Center and the Chicago Botanic Garden’s Windy City Harvest. The organization believes that food is medicine and access to fresh fruits and vegetables can transform an individual and community’s health. Here’s a picture of the community garden! Family and friends welcome, The farm has drinking water on site but bring a water bottle to fill. Street parking around the farm is free and easy to find. Weather will be 75 degrees and no rain; Dress to get dirty, wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes.
We can have up to 15 volunteers to the farm, sign up by EOD Wednesday, August 21 by emailing Eric Rader at eric.rader@lionsclubs.org!
