Andrew Born
Senior Director of Community Impact
Andy began working in the Austin community in 2009 as an economic development planner with the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Voorhees Center. Since then he has worked tirelessly to assist Austin Coming Together and its members develop into a cohesive, powerful, and high-functioning network that is led and staffed by the community. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts from DePaul University and a Master’s Degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. His interests include neighborhood development, local collective action, social entrepreneurship, and Latin dancing.
