Austin Coming Together, or ACT, is a member-based community organization.
The Problem We Address
Community Development in Austin is fragmented and uncoordinated, resulting in missed opportunities to maximize the human and economic potential of residents and businesses.
Our Solution
We work with our member organizations, Austin residents, and community partners to build capacity for collaborative action in four focused areas:
Early Childhood, Youth, Workforce, and The Built Environment.
Within each of our focus areas we develop, sustain and promote a unified vision, collective leadership, and shared accountability.
- We cultivate relationships to develop strategic partnerships. (Monthly Member Check-In, Online Community Groups, Collaborative Action Plans)
- We leverage our member base to effectively promote organizational programs and community events. (Online presence, social media, e-newsletters)
- We provide access to insightful data, research, and information from various sources within and outside of the community. (ACT Exchange)
- We provide tools for our members to collaboratively manage the performance of their programs and services. (Impact Update)
