Position Description

ACT works to achieve its Thrive 2025 goals through three strategic imperatives: Service Delivery Enhancement, Planning & Investment, and Policy. The Neighborhood Network Manager oversees Service Delivery Enhancement and is responsible for developing, testing, managing and evaluating initiatives that contribute to the overall improvement of service delivery for Austin residents. This includes advancing new initiatives and managing the various coordinated intake and referral services currently offered through the Austin Community Hub: Community Engagement, Youth Engagement, Counseling & Case Management, as well as Network Capacity Building. Core responsibilities include:

Strategy and Development

  • Work with the ACT Hub team to develop and assess events, workshops, and engagements operating out of the Austin Community Hub
  • Refine policies and procedures for the Hub and train Hub staff to operate within that structure
  • Work with the Hub Coordinator to insure best practices are implemented for all short-term case management and counseling
  • Work with ACT leadership to identify and develop internal trainings for ACT staff relevant to Hub operations
  • Work with marketing and communications team members to develop Hub marketing materials for community and member organization engagement
  • Build consensus around a common vision of what success looks like for ACT’s service delivery imperative and track progress toward this vision
  • Drive adoption of ACT’s evaluation framework with staff as it pertains to the service delivery imperative

Austin Community Hub Operations

  • Provide oversight and support during all activities, workshops, and open hours at the Austin Community Hub
  • Work with the ACT office administrator and the Hub team to ensure calendar of events is up-to-date and conflict free
  • Oversee the review process and grant final approval on all space reservations, proposed workshops, and member-facilitated events for new programs or partners interested in utilizing the Austin Community Hub
  • Co-facilitate RJ Circles as needed and organize regular opportunities for new staff and ACT network to receive circle training
  • Work with Engagement team, ACT marketing staff, and community liaisons to increase community traffic into Hub
  • Support Hub team to drive community traffic into the Hub
  • Work with the Director of Strategic Initiatives to integrate the NowPow client data system (or an equivalent service delivery enhancement system) for network referrals
  • Train the Hub team on the use and maintenance of new systems

Relationship Management

  • Maintain relationships with management and program staff across our service provider network
  • Gauge the interest and potential for ACT member organizations to contribute to Service Delivery imperative projects and identify opportunities for member partnerships and collaborations within the Hub
  • Draft contracts and MOUs with new partners contributing to events and programs at the Hub
  • Create and distribute monthly coordinated intake and referral services reports to relevant member organizations and collaboratives that adopt our client data system

Evaluation and Reporting

  • Receive monthly reports from Hub team and make data-informed decisions related to program changes and improvements
  • Submit evaluation reports that capture Austin Community Hub activities on a quarterly basis to Director of Strategic Initiatives

Supervision

  • Provide supervision to ACT Hub team through one-on-one meetings, regular communications, and team meetings
  • Submit quarterly performance evaluations for each Hub team member
  • Attend monthly supervision sessions with ACT Director of Strategic Initiatives

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in social work, nonprofit management, counseling or other relevant field and 1-2 years work experience (preferred)
  • Bachelors degree and 3-4 years work experience (required)
  • Demonstrated ability and commitment to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders around an issue including CBOs, government agencies, business owners and community residents
  • Knowledge of the restorative justice framework and experience integrating the framework into organizational operations
  • Experience working in Westside neighborhoods of Chicago; Austin neighborhood preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Experience working in or managing service provider network programs and initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to ACT’s mission, vision and values

Hours and Compensation

The is a full-time salaried position with health benefits. The Neighborhood Network Manager is expected to work evenings and weekends when necessary. Compensation for the position ranges from $48,000 to $51,000 annual salary, based on experience.
