Industry 4.0 refers to the technological trends driving industry into the foreseeable future. Chicago needs to be talking and integrating Industry 4.0 in its schools, training programs and policy-making if we want communities to participate and lead in these critical emerging industries.

Join us April 30th to hear a presentation from Jorge Arevalo, Deputy Minister of Vocational Education for the Basque Country, one of the top Career & Technical Education practitioners.

The Basque Country is an autonomous community in the Northern region of Spain. With numbers similar to those of Germany, its industry generates 29.9% of its GDP. 26.3% is represented by manufacturing.

Its Center for Vocational Education, Tknika, is reforming their educational system to embrace Industry 4.0. The European Union recognizes them as best practice.
